Moving moving moving

We are moving into our new house on Saturday.  Yeah!!!!  I can't wait to be done packing boxes.
Last year I packed up my house with a 6 month old who did not enjoy being banished to her Bumbo or swing all day (she really liked to be held, all the time).  This year I'm packing a house 7 months pregnant.  I'm not sure which is worse!
Our landscaping was finished today.  It looks GREAT!!!!  We did not get all the plants on our "plant list" yet, but what we have looks super.  One of these days I'll take some pictures.  Now about our fence that was damaged in the process (not a good thing, since it was only 1 week old), we've been told that will be worked on next week.
Mason is ready for Todd to put up the new swing set.  I think that's going to have to wait until the sod takes hold & we get settled in a bit.

Still Spring Break?

We woke up to a good 6 inches of snow this morning.  Todd was thrilled, he got to use his monsterous snowblower again.  Mason was out helping, in his "covered feet" pajamas & crocs.

Sarah & Mason built this car yesterday.  Mason worked on it all day.  It has a wad of paper for the gas pedal, one for the brake & one for the gear shift.
We braved the aquarium today, along with half of the rest of Utah.  It was packed, but the kids did enjoy it.

Spring break?

Hmm, it's hard to believe the kids were having an egg hunt out here just three days ago!
I was talking to my landscaper on the phone.  Our yard was on the schedule for this week, obviously it's not happening.  I told him the reason it is snowing is because I finally packed up the snowpants & boots & took them over to the new house last Saturday.

Today the kids & I went to the Thanksgiving Point dinosaur museum.  Sarah did not want to go at first (she was grumpy because her friends are out of town & she's stuck here).  They ended up having a great time.

Sarah by a triceratops, her favorite dinosaur (because of cera in the name).
Mason by the t-rex.
Digging for bones.  Emma did not like the sand in between her toes.  She's never been to a beach or played in a sandbox.

Temple Square

We are on spring break.  Yesterday was a really nice day, so we headed to Temple Square.
The kids were excited that the fountain was on, so they had fun posing for us.

Grandma with almost all of her grandkids (Lynda was not with us, so we are missing 4)
Emma liked to plop herself down on the sidewalk.

Emma loved the water.  She had fun around this pool climbing up & down the little walls around it.

Easter

Our Easter fun started a week early making a "Bunny House" with Becky.  I found this jewel at Wal Mart, it's like a gingerbread house, only made out of a sugar cookie.  The kids loved it, Mason especially loved the frosting & probably ate half the blue tube.
Dying eggs on Saturday.  We did a dozen boiled ones then dyed all the raw ones in the fridge.  Now I get to use colored eggs for the next little while.  We only had one casualty, luckily it was a boiled one!  Emma was banished to her high chair because eggs, dye, & 17 month olds do not go well together.
Easter morning.  The kids found eggs that had fun toys inside, Emma's had Little People, Mason's had hot wheels, & Sarah's had Littlest Pet Shops.
With their baskets that had been taken apart already & put somewhat back together for the picture.  Sarah had colored all sorts of pictures to direct the Easter Bunny to their baskets.  She'd also left out carrots, which the bunny nibbled on.
Sarah had the same dress as her cousin Allie.
Mason looked very dashing.  You can't tell from the picture, but his sweater has some pink on it (as well as his hiding tie) that made him match both Emma & Sarah.
Emma looked so cute!
A group shot, yeah right.
The big egg hunt with all the cousins from my side.  Emma just grabbed an egg & thought that was enough.  She did LOVE the chocolates inside the eggs.  I had to clean them up quickly Monday morning because she was very interested in all the foil wrapped chocolates.  The little eggs fit so nicely in her little hand, that is until they melted, what a mess!
The cousins ended the day by playing play doh (go figure!).  They'd had a great time riding all the wheelie toys in the backyard.  We are going to miss this huge yard for family parties (we won't miss mowing it one bit!).

What's wrong with these pictures?

Besides the fact that the kids are wearing winter coats in April & there is a bit of snow on the ground (on the sidewalk in the second picture), what is wrong is Mason is riding the toddler big wheel & Emma is on the bigger kid wiggle racer.
The big wheel arrived yesterday & Mason has had way more time on it than Emma.  He's remembering his old beloved big wheel that we had to leave behind in Minnesota.  He loved that thing.  So now he's enjoying Emma's big wheel that is too small for him.  Good thing she does not seem to mind.
