Todd's family went to the sand dunes for UEA to ride dirt bikes & ATV's every year while growing up. We decided to give it a try this year, a week early though to be ahead of the crowds. We had a great time.
The kids loved sliding down the sand mountain near our camp.Emma and Adeline liked to make sand castles.
Mitchell liked the going down part but did not care much for climbing back up.
Here are the older cousins playing in the sand pit that Brett and his kids made before we got to the camp.
Mason went on every single vehicle with every single driver. He spent a lot of time wearing his helmet.
Mitchell thought the odyssey was fun to "drive". This was an old vehicle that Todd used to drive at the dunes. His brother Brady got it running again for our trip.
Mason had Brady take him on the A.T.V.
Mitchell and Claire playing in the sand. We discovered that disc sleds work great on sand hills, these long kind don't.
Jen's baby Nonie visiting from Alaska.{Sarah took this picture.} She was a real trooper & even spent the night!
Emma wanted to ride the oddyssey so Jen took her for a ride.
Mitchell before his ride not looking so sure about it. He seemed relieved to get off the ATV. I think he likes them better when they are not moving.
Mitchell on Claire's tricycle in the parking lot. He spent lots of time on this.
Jen tried a little "white trash" move. Nonie is safely buckled into her car seat & strapped into the odyssey in the back of the truck. It was pretty funny. Nonie did not seem to appreciate it. This would have been a long, windy ride home!
